Daisy is a 6-week-old kitten we just got from our friends Damion and Melinda, whose cats recently had a litter. Dot is "adjusting."

Dot's growling and hissing is pretty much done. They're getting along pretty well already. Yesterday afternoon they were both napping together on our bed. Daisy is getting way more outgoing, exploring a few more rooms in the house. Most of the time she just finds cool spots to nap. She's now known as "Squeak Toy."

Daisy's getting bigger, for sure. She's still going to be a "midget cat," though. She and Dot have their closest encounters when there's food around.

Daisy likes to find her way into anything that has space for her. I'll be sitting on the can with my pants around my ankles, and she'll curl up in my underwear. Dot did this two a few times, but Daisy really loves it.

We got Dot and Daisy a big new consolidated litter box with an odor-filtering shelter...they love it. And we also got them new feeders, which they dig.

Put some new and unusual object on the floor, and within about 10 seconds, they own it... By the way, the garage is absolutely 110% Daisy's favorite room in the world.
